Your Pharmacists Diary (YPD) is an organisation committed to creating visibility for pharmacists, highlighting niche areas in Pharmacy Practice and mentorship.
Our Core Mandate:
To foster capacity building for the pharmacist and the pharmacy student by featuring pharmacists globally and highlighting their niche areas. To create a networking platform for pharmacy professionals, stakeholders, and organisations in the Healthcare sector for Health education, knowledge sharing, policy shaping and innovations that are anchored on showing and creating value for Pharmacy Profession on a global scale.
Job Description:
YPD is seeking a passionate and dynamic Communications lead to oversee and implement YPD’s communications output and further develop its communication strategies. He/she will play a key role in ensuring the dissemination of YPD’s important communication and the organisation’s advocacy.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- The production and adaptation of digital content for social networks.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of YPD’s communication strategy, including designing and building specific communication strategies for YPD’s activities and projects.
- Demonstrate an understanding of digital trends for the development and execution of online engagement.
- Defining a monitoring strategy for the organisation’s digital performance. This includes guiding the production of monthly analytics reports for YPD’s website and social media.
- Write and edit content, as needed, related to YPD’s vision and mission.
- Support the publication of YPD’s reports, newsletters and articles.
Qualifications, skills and competencies:
- Should be currently enrolled or recently completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
- Proven track record for well-written and oral communications, excellent proofreading and editing skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong critical/analytical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate ability to independently apply skills to develop and provide communication and guidance and enhance brand awareness.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including editing, presentation, creative and promotional expertise.
- Solid relationship-building and people skills.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in health in digital/social media.
- Should be willing to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to YPD work for the next 6 months to the project.
