One of the hardest things in a pharmacist’s profession is to tell a patient to go home there’s no medication for them. It’s quite inapt and unbecoming for the National Government to play a tax card on ARVs.
Some of the repercussions and aftermath of this drama is permanent change in drug regimens, more positive babies, deaths, increased opportunistic diseases and above all how hopeless and inhuman the politicians have become.
The whole health care system in Kenya is ruined. A pharmacist can’t even get well defined JDs without constantly being interrupted by clueless people in government.
A pharmacist is termed as a Drug lord yet gagged by the very power givers.
